THE AYURVEDIC MASK

After a lot of feedback from you and lots of questions, here is finally an article that exclusively concerns the pushkar face mask and its use.

First of all, it seems important to me to explain the origin of this Ayurvedic mask.

After spending more than 6 months in India, discovering lots of plants and traditions so different from the ones I was familiar with, I thought of a mask on the basics of Ayurveda that I had discovered while traveling, adding my knowledge and my personal touch.

So I kept the concept of the mask that is mixed with yogurt because I thought the idea was great. I couldn’t stand the masks that are mixed with water anymore, I felt tight and deserted my skin, moreover after a few minutes of applying the masks with water, my skin was very itchy and when I rinsed, my skin was very dry, with a lot of redness.

The advantages of mixing a mask with yogurt are numerous:

  • The mask does not dry out, so you can keep it on for as long as you want
  • Yoghurts are rich in probiotics and other vitamins that stimulate the skin and have a decongestant effect
  • When the mask is removed, the skin is soft and does not require the application of a balm or other skin protection.

So much for all the explanation of the origin of the mask and the choice of yogurt.

It is obviously not an obligation, but a piece of advice, mixing this mask with a tea tree floral water can also be a great experience but my recommendations for an optimal result is the use of yogurt (goat, cow, donkey…)

Uses of the mask:

Each ingredient has been selected to fight acne, blackheads and other skin imperfections. I chose to use Turmeric in Essential Oil and Root Powder for a maximum concentration of anti-inflammatory, white and red clay and tea tree essential oil for the anti-bacterial and purifying aspect; Finally, the sacred lotus and multani mitti powder are sacred ingredients of Ayurveda, very powerful and with divine scents.

Directions for use:

  • Take a tablespoon of the mask
  • Pour it into an earthen container (for the best)
  • Pour half of a yoghurt just out of the fridge into the bowl (optimal feeling of freshness)
  • Blend until you have a consistent texture and color
  • Apply to the face, neck, avoiding the eye area, for at least 15 minutes.
  • Rinse thoroughly with cold water to tighten the pores of the skin.
